3 Reasons You Aren't Reaching Your Potential as a Dog Training Business Owner
1. You are not charging enough. Did you know that most dog trainers HIDEOUSLY undercharge?  Why?  Because you base your prices on your time or what other trainers in the area charge per hour.  Because nobody is going to pay a lot for lessons, hours of training, or poorly structured programs where one program leads to the next with no end in sight for the owner.

Resistance Reason #1: "But Molly, I already have dog training programs for sale, and I'm still struggling."
Molly's Response:
I hear this all the time, people say, "Yeah, I have a 5 lesson program, a 10 and 15 lesson program, but it doesn't work like the examples you describe or the other trainers whose stories I hear."

One of the problems is that you might have a package, not a program.  The words are used interchangeably, even among trainers I've taught who have "programs", not packages.  ;)  

But a program is a service created by you that includes the features needed to achieve an end result for the owner and their dog, and it happens to include lessons or training days (or however you do the dog's training).  The program also includes features that give the owners extra benefits, like saving them time, trouble, effort or giving them extra peace of mind.

This way, the owner sees it as buying a solution to a problem, an end result that they desire, rather than simply paying for a batch of your time.

People are far more willing to part with their money for the light at the end of the tunnel, and to make the ride more smooth, than they are willing to pay for the pieces of the train.

The way you present what you offer makes all the difference!
Resistance Reason #2: NO TIME “I’m so swamped with personal stuff and my business is already taking every other second I have. I don’t have time to learn marketing.”
Molly's Response:
If you don’t have time to market your business, marketing it better is exactly what you need. There are cracks in your life where time is falling through, and it’s just a matter of where you put your focus. Right now it might be wasted on things that aren’t going to help you get out of where you are.

"How is the way you teach Program Creation different from what I already do?"

Many trainers think they have programs, but they are really a package of lessons, which is different.  Some trainers do have programs, but they are formatted in a way that's not working as well as they should. 

There are so many wrong ways to create programs.  I focus on the ways I've seen work every time... and are easily created.
